Chicago Logue
Chicago Logue went up in 2008 as one of the city guides in the BootsnAll Travel Network, and for a while it went by WhyGo Chicago. BootsnAll has been publishing for independent travelers since 1999, and it also owns AirTreks, which books multi-stop and round-the-world trips.
The reference pages date from 2008. Most of the articles were written in 2010 and 2011, with a handful added up to 2019. It covers getting to the city, getting around on the L and the buses, where to stay, and what to eat, drink and do once you're here, plus a few trips out into the Midwest.
In 2026 we went back through every page. Articles that no longer made sense came out, and the ones that stayed are being checked against current sources. When a page has been checked, you'll see "Updated" and the month under its title. Pages without that line still read as they did when they were written, so treat their prices, hours and venues as a starting point and check before you go.
