Drink This: Kit Kat Martinis

Kit Kat Club, which moved a couple of blocks to 3524 N. Halsted in Northalsted (the part of Lakeview long called Boystown), is a bit of a mixed bag. On weeknights it’s a relaxed lounge and restaurant. But come on a Friday and Saturday night, and you’ll find the place echoing with screams of tipsy bachelorettes who’ve come to start their night with cocktails and a drag show.

Though on weekends the drag queens take center stage, the food holds its own, from burgers and fries to full dinners, and there’s a drag brunch too. Check the website for the current specials.

But the real reason most people come to Kit Kat is the martinis. The list runs from classic and strong to light and fruity to dessert in a glass, like the blueberry pie martini, which will satisfy any sweet tooth while working up a mighty buzz. For a group, book ahead.
